When I was growing up, we always called this Lemon (or whatever flavor of pudding used) Lush.  It is a favorite.

You can vary the flavor by changing the pudding based on the season or double the appeal by using two different puddings and keeping them separate at different ends of the dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 cups of milk
  • 2 boxes instant pudding and pie filling any flavor
  • 1 large cool whip
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 package cream cheese 8 oz.
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 stick oleo

Instructions

  • Layer 1 - Melt oleo and add to flour and nuts.
  • Pat out in a 9 x 13 dish.
  • Bake 8 to 10 min until light brown.
  • Cool.
  • Layer 2 - Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar.
  • Fold in 1 cup cool whip.
  • Spread on top of cool crust.
  • Layer 3 - Mix pudding with the 3 cups of milk, pour on top of cream cheese mixture and let set.
  • Layer 4 - Top with remaining cool whip. Cool and let set in refrigerator.
